Bloom

Dream,
Like your winning a prize for the best project created.
You can be so much more if you let yourself.
Inside you are seeds of greatness.
You just have to believe in you,
Plant those seeds in the fertile soil of your imagination
Water those dreams with your sweat,
Pull out the weeds, the people who strangle your dream,
Feeding off you and giving you nothing back.
Let the Sunshine of encouragement,
From those who love you,
Those who want you to succeed fuel you.
You can be so great,
If you just believe in your dreams.
A seed contains a mighty tree,
But if it’s not planted,
It dies with all its potential.
Its time to grow,
Time to bloom,
Time to be the magnificent flower you were meant to be.
Believe in you,
Believe in your dreams,
Believe in he who created you to be all you can be.
Make God smile,
When you bloom into the wonderful person,
He created you to be,
With all the skills and talents he gave you.
Bloom.

Madonna Smile

She's got the smile,
That radiates from within.
It's beautiful,
Like watching the sun rise or set.
Her smile's so beautiful,
Colgate would film her for a commercial in a minute,
Because when she smiles,
Her teeth sparkle,
Like they have diamonds in them,
And her smile is worth millions.
she is beautiful when she smiles,
Because it comes from the heart.
It has no malice or pretense,
Its genuine.
She has the most beautiful smile,
When she looks at the most beautiful thing
Her new born baby lying in her arms.

Living in Fear

Fear Definition.

Noun: An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

Synonyms: noun. dread - fright - apprehension - funk - awe - alarm
verb. be afraid - dread - apprehend - funk - be afraid of

I am the light in my darkness,
The key to my chains.
I am my own jailer,
I keep myself in prison,
With my fear,
That makes me stumble,
Be in a cell with no bars.
I need to be free,
But I must free my mind.
That’s a Herculean task.
I must stop denying my weakness,
Embrace my kryptonite,
And get strength from within.
Break the mental bars
Be free.
Life’s too short to live in fear.

Goodbye Mr. Love!

Mr. Love, it’s been a ball knowing you.
I enjoyed the party,
Got drunk on emotions that made me do crazy things,
I still have some pictures and letters as evidence,
Some so shameful I still blush till today.
We danced a seductive dance,
And did a lot of dirty dancing.
Oh yeah the party was fun
But its morning now,
And the hangover’s a bitch.
I don’t understand what happened at the party,
Frankly am tired and done.
It’s time to pack your bags and bail.
You've been having a party at my expense,
In the morning all the bills and regrets are mine.
Hit the road jack and don’t you come back no more.
Mr. Singleness looks good to me,
He handsome and sweet, and has no hangovers.
It’s time for a quiet life,
Am tired of roller coasters.
Leave your keys on the way out
Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
Am cashing in my chips,
Tired of gambling with my life,
So Mr. Love tuonane.
Goodbye.

Happy Birthday to me!

Am so grateful for another day, another year.
It’s been a year of ups and downs.
Am still breathing so that’s an A plus.
It’s a new day, a new year for me,
Another chance to pursue my dreams.
I thank God because he gave me life
And the grace to endure the trials that come my way.
A new year, a new slate for me to do things in different ways,
To right wrongs and follow new paths.
I am growing,
Started as a seed
Now am a young tree maturing every day!
Scars I have that tell many tales
But I know what didn’t kill me made me stronger.
I pray that God may give me wisdom and love.
That I may be wise and love others more.
I pray that he may bless me so that I bless others.
I thank God for the birthday gifts he’s given me,
My family, friends, my health, my talents,
Everything I have is a gift from him.
So its time to say the words,
Happy birthday to me!

THINK (IMAGES/POSTERS - HIV/AIDS)

Let's fight HIV/AIDS through discussions, getting knowledge and fighting ignorance. We are all either affected or infected. Fight HIV/AIDS the disease, love the people infected. Be an advocate for responsible behaivour and do not stigmatize the infected.

JUMP

Jump.
Let go of the things that keep you down.
Its time to let go of the weights around your legs,
That makes you drown instead of swim.
You can’t jump if you can’t let go.
Fear, pain, anger, jealousy, attitudes, perceptions,
selfishness, back stabbing will keep you down.
To soar you must be light like an eagle,
Be able to balance in the sky.
Some weights will keep you down like an ostrich,
You can be a champion
But the things that weigh you keep you down.
Its time to jump.
You must let go of the past,
And of the negative attitudes that keep you there.
Jump.
Let go.
Fly.

Listen (HIV/AIDS)

Be wise.
Use a rubber,
Don’t try to be a hero,
Otherwise you will be a zero,
Trying to prove yourself the man.

You like it skin to skin,
You say it tastes sweeter.
Be careful your choices don’t make you bitter,
When you get the test results.
Don’t go with his sweet lies,
That skin to skin is ok,
And you haven't both gone for the test together.
Protect your life and future.

No regrets.
My advice abstain,
But if you must have a taste,
Don’t go sampling each and every dish,
Stick to one, greed may make you sick.
Be careful though,
Know your status,
It’s great to know where you stand.
Be wise,
Don’t go swimming in dangerous waters,
You may drown in undercurrents,
Know your partner’s status.

Infected.
HIV/AIDS isn’t a death sentence.
You can still achieve your dreams and goals.
If you have it, live positive,
Don’t focus on the negatives,
What’s done is done,
And life is still there to be lived.
Be strong and courageous,
Never give up!
Keep walking, keep dreaming, and keep moving.

Keep moving!

You have to keep moving.
Don’t stop!
Life will always try to break you,
It’s a cruel master,
With a whip and chains,
Wanting to crush you!
Keep the hope alive,
And hug your dreams,
Don’t let go,
Because you may fall and not get up.
Keep dreaming,
And hoping, keep the dreams alive.
Keep moving, one step, two steps,
Even if you falter,
Or make mistakes and fall back,
Get back up.
Keep your eyes on the finish line,
It’s not the end,
As long as you keep moving,
And dreaming and hoping,
Walking towards your dreams.
Sometimes it may seem like others have run,
And you are have been left behind,
But be focused,
Our pace is not the same,
Our talents, gifts, education,resilience
And opportunities are not the same.
Just keep moving.
One day you will find that you are there.
Just keep moving.
Keep praying, dreaming, hoping,
Having faith in you and in God.
Just keep moving.

Baring my skeletons

I love you and hate you at the same time. A paradox that only some with broken or hurting hearts can understand.

I loved the way you made me feel yet hate how I feel now. My heart loves you and my mind despises you. I stand on an invisible boundary, like that timeline that separates yesterday and today. I loved you with so many yesterdays and pledged to you many today’s. Yet today I don’t want to hear your promises and my tomorrows I have erased you.

My feelings for you are like ying yang in balance though there are days when I swing to the extreme of one. But you know most days I don’t regret what we had, for it taught me how to love. Some days my regrets are like the sand, too many to count. But today am neutral, just venting with no grand emotion in my heart. Just baring my skeletons before I return them to my closet, shut them in tight.
