Why I love writing by Noela Akinyi (a poem from one of our standard 8 children that we are teaching poetry)

I do write because it is interesting.
It makes me explore my thinking.
It makes me feel optimistic.
It makes me share my experiences.
I write because am special
And I can do anything to make me happy.
I write to improve my talents.
I do write because I am a person of my own dignity and principals,
And I know that my desire is to write.
I write because my word touches,
My heart and soul.
I write because poetry is all about life.
